Dead bodies found in adjacent communities.

The Police in Cape Coast have begun investigations into the circumstances that led to the suspected murder of two unidentified young men at the Nyinasin and Mpeasem communities in the Cape Coast North Constituency.
Early Friday morning, the lifeless bodies of the young men, aged between 25 and 30, were found in the two nearby communities along the Cape Coast-Twifo Praso Road.
The District Police Commander of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Station, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Kingsley Abrokwa, said the first body was  found in an orange farm at Nyinasin.
He said upon examination of the body the Police realised that it had gunshot wounds.
He said the Police was also informed about another body of a young man at Mpeasem, and when they went to the scene and examined it, they saw gunshot wounds similar to those found on the body at Nyinasin.
He said the bodies had since been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for autopsy, whilst investigation continued.
He advised the public to desist from taking the law into their own hands.
ASP Abrokwa  gave the assurance that the Police would work hard to bring the perpetrators to book and called on the residents in and around Cape Coast whose relatives had not been home since last night to contact the UCC Police Station.

31 Year old electrician shot dead by robbers.

A 31-year-old electrician was shot dead by an armed robbery gang at his residence at Ahenema Kokoben, near Kumasi, last Saturday.
Identified as Akomea Frimpong Jnr, the young man is said to have seen the suspected robbers trailing him to his residence, for which reason he rushed to his room, locked the door and shouted for help.
However, the robbers allegedly shot through the door, killing him instantly. The bullets are said to have hit his head and thigh.
Last Thursday night, armed men allegedly shot dead a policeman at a hotel at Denkyemuoso when he parked his car near the hotel where the robbers were attacking and robbing the occupants.
In the latest robbery at Ahenema Kokoben, the robbers, numbering about three, are said to have threatened to kill everyone in the house if they did not open the door.
The deceased’s elder brother opened the door to the hall, only for the robbers to shoot his leg before ransacking the house and taking away GH¢ 4,000.

The bullet holes found on the deceased’s door after the attack
Police
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Mohammed Yussif Tanko, the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, who briefed the Daily Graphic on the incident, said the robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Ahenema Kokoben New Site.
He said while going back with their booty, the robbers attacked and assaulted one Agnes Nketia Agyapomaa, a student, and robbed her of her bag containing a mobile phone, a student ID card and books.
Agnes and Frimpong Snr were rushed to a hospital at Kotwi for treatment.
At the time of filing this report, Agnes was still on admission, while Frimpong Snr had been discharged.
Mr Tanko said the police had visited the scene of the robbery, where they retrieved 13 empty shells of ammunition used in AK 47 rifles.
Meanwhile, the body of Frimpong Jnr has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for autopsy.
Measures
ASP Tanko said the Police Administration was assisting the Ashanti Regional Police Command with more men from the Anti-Terrorism Unit of the Ghana Police Service to help fight armed robbery in the region.
Additionally, he said the Ashanti Regional Police Command was forming its own anti-armed robbery squad to help combat the menace.
According to him, the police had mounted a manhunt for the suspects and appealed to the public to help them with information.
