Italy Supreme Court okays masturbating in public

Italian Supreme Court.
Masturbating in public is not a criminal offence, Italy’s highest court has ruled — even if it is done with the intention of being seen in public.

According to The Independent, the Italian supreme court La Corte di Cassazione was asked to rule on the case of a 69-year-old man who had been caught masturbating in the southern city of Catania.

The man was convicted after he was seen “taking out his penis” and “practising autoeroticism” in front of students at the University of Catania campus, The Independent reports.

He was reportedly sentenced to three months’ jail and fined €3,420 ($5000) following a decision by the local Prefect of Catania and Court of Appeal.

Supreme court judges said that a recent government reform meant “the act is not included in the law as a crime”, meaning the court has eliminated the criminal aspects of sentencing for obscene acts in public places.

It’s understood Italian parliament passed a law last year decriminalising the offence or lurking in places frequented by girls in order to be seen masturbating.

In Indonesia, the penalty for masturbating in public is 32 months’ imprisonment. The UK sentences guilty people to 14 days in prison.

Ghana Psychological Council Warns Counsellor Lutterodt.

The Ghana Psychological Council (GPC) has warned popular and controversial counselor, Rev Counselor Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt to stop parading himself as a counselor because he’s not certified as such.

According to GPC, Counselor Lutterodt is not a registered member of the Council and by law he has no right to provide counseling services in any form in Ghana, adding that his continuous rending of counseling service is in breach of ACT 857 of 2013 which is punishable by law.

He’s unarguably the most popular counselor in Ghana in the past few years due to his media presence and has made him the most sought-after counselor gracing several platforms.

Counselor Lutterodt is regularly heard on various radio stations across the capital and also features prominently on several TV screens.

The eccentric counselor’s most often strange position on matters of marriage and relationship has endeared him to a lot of people while a huge section of the public especially the youth who he usually bashes also condemn him.

But it appears his popularity which he has enjoyed for some time now is going to dip soon as the Ghana Psychological Association which is obviously deeply worried about his activities wants him checked.

The Association has written a letter to the Ghana Psychological Council which is the body mandated by law to grant a license to counselors, a copy of which has been intercepted by Kasapafmonline.com asking the Council to confirm whether Counselor Lutterodt is a member of the Council or not.

The association has further written to the counselor complaining bitterly about his utterances and has further copied the National Media Commission over his conduct.

In an exclusive with Kasapa News Serwah Akoto, the Acting Registrar of the Ghana Psychological Council, Dr Dinah Baah-Odoom stated that initially there was no law governing the activities of counselors and so anybody could provide counseling service or talk about counseling, but noted that the situation has changed with the promulgation of Act 857 in 2013.

“Now before anyone can make any pronouncement that person must be a registered member of the Ghana Psychological Association.

“Counseling is a psychological service although many Ghanaians don’t know, there are certificate and diploma courses for lay counselors, and Counselor Lutterodt is not a professional counselor so we could have registered him as a lay counselor. I assure you that he’s not a registered member of the association and per the law ACT 857 he’s not supposed to give counseling service.

“The Psychological Council is not the least happy with the fact that Counselor holds himself as a counselor and also finds his position on certain issues condemnable. If you call yourself a counselor… we are bounded by the code of ethics, so there are things we don’t say and there are others that are outrageous.

To the public, you may think it’s okay but it’s unacceptable. He can go on radio and give advice as anybody will do, no one can stop him from doing that but he can’t call himself a counselor because he’s not one.”

Meanwhile, reacting to the issue, Counselor Lutterodt told Kasapa FM that he’s not the one being addressed by the letter.

According to him, he’s not aware that there is any such Council that regulates the activities of Counselors in Ghana, adding that he’ll will give an appropriate response when he is written to.

Though she is presently enjoying the change, the actress popularly called Mama G, confirmed that her family see her new lifestyle as being weird.
The actress was said to have heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling her to fast for 21 days; but complained that she have so many projects to handle; endorsements and movies to shoot within that period. As a result of the excuses, the Lord extended it to 30 days.
It was during the fasting period that the Lord revealed to her how she will be a voice for him all over the world; through her image in Nollywood.
She also revealed in the interview that one of the things God warned her on was her dressing and appearance; putting on makeup, jewelry, wearing trouser as a Lady is wrong.
Now on her natural hair, Mama G warned that it will be harder for colleagues in the movie industry, with permanent tattoos and eyebrows when they eventually encounter Christ. She also said that she should stop being referred to as Mama G, as that name was for when she was in the world.

Model drowns after ‘asthma attack’ during underwater photoshoot

Saturday 21st May , 2016 10:00 am

A Taiwanese model has drowned after suffering a suspected asthma attack during an underwater photoshoot in the sea off the coast of Taiwan.
Olivia Ku was unconscious when firefighters and coastguards pulled her body from the waters where she had been participating in a photoshoot off the Coast of Pingtung County in southern Taiwan on Monday.
She was transferred to a local hospital but attempts to resuscitate her failed.
The coast guard refused to comment on reports Ms Ku had removed her breathing apparatus for the photoshoot prior to the accident.
The 25-year-old model was an experienced amateur diver with more than three years’ experience. She was “cheerful and outgoing”, and frequently volunteered to help to clean refuse from the seabeds near Pingtung, a diver with her during the photoshoot told the Taipei Times.
Another unnamed diver told the newspaper he was surprised at the accident, as underwater photography sessions – in which breathing apparatus is regularly removed – usually take place in shallow water to take advantage of natural light, with a diver on watch for accidents.
Ms Ku was married to a cousin of prominent Democratic Progressive Party MP Chiu Yi-Ying, and is survived by her husband and their four-year-old daughter.
Mr Chiu posted a message on Facebook on Tuesday which read: “Your life was cut too short at the age of 25, but you will always be in the hearts of our big family.”
Publicists for Eelin Entertainment, the modelling agency Ms Ku worked for, said they were helping the family with funeral arrangements, and added that the underwater photoshoot was not work-related.
